The gantry shear is a mainstream hydraulically driven heavy-duty shearing machine. It relies on the hydraulic system to provide power for material cutting with a smooth and coherent overall operation process.

 

During operation, materials are conveyed to the shearing station. The hold-down cylinder acts first to firmly clamp materials onto the fixed lower blade base and prevent displacement during shearing. Then the hydraulic power unit delivers high-pressure oil to drive the main cylinder, which pushes the upper blade holder and upper blade to move vertically downward. Strong shear force generated by the staggered upper and lower blades cuts metal materials such as scrap steel and profiles. After shearing, the cylinders reset, and the blade and hold-down device return to their original positions sequentially, with finished materials falling off automatically. Equipped with an electrical control system for cyclic operation, this machine features powerful shearing force, stable performance and high working efficiency.
