Activated carbon is widely adopted for industrial wastewater purification, flue gas treatment, solvent recovery, gold cyanidation extraction and air deodorization. After long-term adsorption operation, countless tiny pores inside carbon will be blocked by organic pollutants, heavy metals and chemical contaminants, resulting in saturated failure. Traditionally, factories discard spent activated carbon as hazardous waste and purchase brand-new carbon repeatedly, which brings two huge burdens: expensive virgin carbon procurement cost and high hazardous waste disposal charges, plus severe environmental pollution pressure.

Activated carbon regeneration furnace (also called activation furnace, thermal reactivation kiln) is professional thermal processing equipment designed to recycle saturated spent carbon. Adopting mature high-temperature steam thermal regeneration technology, it thoroughly decomposes and gasifies adsorbed contaminants under oxygen-limited sealed high-temperature environment (800–950℃), reopens blocked pore structures, and restores 85%–95% original adsorption performance of activated carbon for cyclic repeated use.

Complete 4-Stage Thermal Regeneration Working Flow

Drying Stage: Moisture inside wet saturated carbon is evaporated at 120–250℃ to avoid steam explosion and uneven heating inside furnace;

Pyrolysis Carbonization Stage: Organic pollutants adsorbed on carbon surface are decomposed into volatile gas at 300–600℃;

Steam Activation Core Stage: High-temperature steam is injected into furnace chamber, reacting with carbon substrate to rebuild microporous structure, the key procedure to recover adsorption activity;

Cooling & Discharging Stage: Regenerated high-activity carbon is rapidly cooled under inert atmosphere to prevent secondary oxidation, then discharged for recycling deployment.
